As Dr Hash says, "the competition just ain't that tough."
the competition was always fierce for the stunningly beautiful & classy girls

I was not born smooth with girls tho

I made a conscious choice in junior high, to make myself into what girls wanted

I had a fever for girls so hot, nothing was going to stop me

I did see it as competition, and I was ruthless, except for stealing a guy's steady girl, I didn't go there

Personally, I can talk Modern (big “M”) furniture, also called “Atomic Age,” just after the Mid-Century period. I can point out an Eero Saarinen chair or Florence Knoll table, tulip-style; I can even recognize original vintage. Wife’s peachy-keeno but always asks, “Where R U going to put it?”

Its the curse of good taste.

I tend more towards craftsman than the atomic age, single fabricated piece/Buckminster Fuller trip - but I still broadly categorize craftsman as 'mid-century modern.'

my biggest influence was my father

my father could hustle women, he had the knack

but more than that, he enjoyed the company of women, he was a ladies man

it was more than just sex, you can't even think straight until you cure that fever, but that's just tip of the iceberg

he had style, wit, athleticism, intellectual prowess, creativity, he could show a woman a very good time

I just sat at the foot of the master and drank it all in

my father wasn't strict about most things

like smoking dope, not doing my homework, getting into fights

my father chalked all that up as boys will be boys

but he was strict about not sitting around the house playing video games or what have you

my father did not like video games, I was not allowed to have those

my father pushed me to get out of the house and have a social life, specific to the mission of getting a girlfriend

once again me & Glenn Loury are similar

I did the same thing, I was in the army, I had no business being in the hood, I didn't need to be there

but I used to drive six hours from the army base to Toronto, just so I could be in the streets

I just found it intoxicating, I was an adrenaline junky

mind you, once I got a steady girlfriend in the small town by the base, I stopped going back to the city then

female companionship keeping me out of trouble and on the righteous path, story of my life

On incels, I don't think there is as many of them as is played up. I think just due to the internet allowing them to finally meet each other they've been able to increase their voice, while not really increasing in number.

The internet has made many things that have always existed more obvious. There has always been incels, but before they were isolated and didn't have a community to talk to. They just went about their lonely lives too shy to expose themselves, then died quietly. Now due to the internet they were able to find a community, which gives them confidence to speak up. So now the average person is made aware of their existence.

I saw the way some of the guys I knew in college lived, pizza boxes, trash, newspapers laying everywhere and I was not shocked then that they got zero pussy. I can only imagine how horrific it is today in the internet age of pasty hermits. A guy in his early 20s today who makes any effort at all should be covered up with hot college girls.

where's my arc, Smitty?
see, I don't think you find out until you are pair bonded with a mate

you are in effect doomed to a permanent adolescence if you don't find somebody to live for other than yourself
