Not sure if you've listened to Huberman Lab podcast, but hes a professor of neuroscience at Stanford and he talks about all the recent developments. I bring it up since you talked about sleep, dreams and nutrition and whatnot and he talks about all those things.

I heard this guy in Lex Fridmans podcast, which is really good too.

Cool thanks for the nice words too. Dreams are nuts. We have to just shut off for 8 hours a day everyday and it's just a mystery that's wonderful and terrorifying all at the same time. Marion Woodman is good with dreams and so is Marie Von Franz.doc_loliday wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 10:10 pmNot sure if you've listened to Huberman Lab podcast, but hes a professor of neuroscience at Stanford and he talks about all the recent developments. I understand why people like the story. The message of rejecting materialism and the rules of society,SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 4:10 pm
I think we all do. That’s why the story is so popular - similar to Grizzly Man. Most people have the good sense to moderate their ideals though.
Humans can’t survive solo.
Always pack a weapon just in case.
He was an idiot because he thought reading Jack London book would prepare him for the 'wilds' of Alaska.
He must of thought that, because he did nothing to prepare himself to survive. Let's remember, he only made it 15 miles off the highway, that's leisure walk for the day. Then he holed up in the old bus. Hugh Glass covered 250 miles after being mauled by a Grizzly and left for dead.

There had to be some mental illness involved.
Mental illness is now the defining aspect of our society: 60% of middle-aged women are taking psych drugs, combined with 25% of the rest of the population, including children, plus the ones that aren’t diagnosed yet, and it adds up to more than half... In a democracy. Explains everything.

Calling this mental "illness" now seems to stretch the concept of illness.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 5:33 amThere had to be some mental illness involved.

Once more than half of people are ill... ill becomes normal and loses any meaning.
Pretty soon not being ill will become suspect.
Or maybe we are already there.

The asylum is indeed being run by the inmates now.DrYouth wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 3:10 pmCalling this mental "illness" now seems to stretch the concept of illness.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 5:33 amThere had to be some mental illness involved.

Yeah he's a legit good guy. Rando i met on a social media platform that'll go unmentioned. I've "met" a couple of folks worth knowing and chatting it up with online. I just wish I could get my hours of wasted time and life back from being on social media even for just this past year.doc_loliday wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:26 pmJP is a good guest too, very good flow.GloryofGreece wrote: ↑ Since you've listened to different episodes I want to ask who you think I had the most flow or seemless conversation with?
