Re: Mass Psychosis
I’ve heard on Scott Adam’s channel (which I no longer watch) that there’s a scientific study that shows news bias causes brain damage: that would explain the psychosis. If anybody runs across any links supporting that, please post them. (I couldn’t find any.)

I am over Scott Adam too. George Carlin said it best, imo.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 10:07 pmI’ve heard on Scott Adam’s channel (which I no longer watch) that there’s a scientific study that shows news bias causes brain damage: that would explain the psychosis. Age of Hysteria, Carnie Age, etc.
Herd psychology is definitely a thing and its not just guys like Walter Lipman and Edward Bernays etc. were all over marketing/advertisement, but then you have things we've learned from Pavlov, Watson, Skinner and so on. Cascading effects are on display too. In other words once something happens and enough people catch on to whatever trend or fad or witch hunt or whatever then things become more and more of a regular occurring thing. For example "mass shooting" or "school shootings" or whatever.

this is Marshall McLuhan world, the medium is the message
it is inciting a mass effect which Alvin Toffler called Future Shock
to illustrate Marshall McLuhan's thesis, let's take for example the Iraq War
in a modern paradigm it makes no sense, it is a strategic disaster
but in postmodernity, the medium is the message, the war is performative, like virtue signalling
the American hero defeats the arch villain Saddam Hussein, that's the message, the war is the medium
and it worked, because George W. Bush was reelected
or take for Example Trump & MAGA, that's the same thing,
Trump is a caricature, America chauvinism on steroids, Ronnie Raygun + Hulk Hogan = Trump
he's not really running anything, he's just a message in a medium
he even winks at you and let's you know this, through the fourth wall, like when he sends "Covfefe"
this is where Trump is the political genius, ahead of his time, the "4D chess"
this postmodern future is tearing through the modern society like a shock wave, that's the Future Shock
