Personally, I kind of like Australia's approach, treat posting news articles as copyright infringement, and force Facebook, Google, etc. to pay copyright fees for any money they make on those posts.

But now the Australian government is going "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" and I'm just over here like "WTF, Australia? They don't owe your press free distribution, much less the indignity of having to pay you for distributing your content".
