under Trump there was a pause, stalemate, live & let live

now the Democrats are back, and they want to see some action for their money

Kiev seems to be trying to appease them by lobbing some shells at the Russians rebels

the Russians have said "that's a dumb thing to do, hopefully cooler heads prevail", but have not taken any action in response

unless it's a major offensive there is no reason for them to react
