bear in mind, the Fascists did not actually go with Hitler

they sympathized with his ideal, but found his plan to be totally unrealistic and so misguided

what the Fascist actually did was go with America, dodging the war, and joining the Americans on the other side

to wit, if it was really a war against Fascism, why did we not invade Spain to depose Franco, rather than adopting him as an ally?

America did not even declare war on the Nazis

the Nazis were in fact America's Bulwark against Communism in Europe

America declared war on the Axis when Japan attacked

the Nazis had just foolishly allied themselves with Japan, forcing them to declare war on America first

the Fascists never joined Japan, so there was no cause to go to war against Franco

Are we talking the Giovanni Gentile Marxist-based Fascism, or “Donald Trump is a Fascist” definition? The fact that I have to ask means we’re living in Fascism right now.

also bear in mind that Hitler & Mussolini were adversaries, Germany & Italy were actually enemies, vying for control in Africa

the Nazis also didn't ally themselves with Italy so much as they invaded and occupied it to deny it to the British

Fascism is the Rulebound Scold supreme...

Hitler was the biggest Karen of them all.

America didn't become Fascist during the second world war.

America was not born Fascist... and it wasn't born anti-Fascist either.

Trying to paint America as Fascist is an old Trope.

Nice try.

Anti-Fascism is just another Fascism.

I'm screaming anything at all, merely consulting the historical record to extrapolate the cycle therein

America was born anti-Karen.

It hated the annoying effete bureaucrats of the English.

It loved freedom.

Of course the Puritans had plenty of Karen's of their own...

And the Karens have arisen time and time again... only to face off against the anti-Karens

But anti-Karen's are not Fascists.

The Antifa are all Karens... a whole mob of them.

Official "Church" membership doesn't really mean much any more. Many churches in my area don't have these registries of members. You have the regular congregants who tithe, and that's it. Outside of Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and High Church Protestantism (Methodists, Lutherans, Episcopalians, etc.), there's no reason to have any data on your congregants outside of the church directory. I've noticed a huge uptick in church attendance and general Christian belief, much of it a reaction to Wokeness. People are beginning to see that no matter how much they bend the knee, the boot isn't coming off their neck. For a while, the average person could cling to the flag and espouse the same platitudes about Apple Pie, Baseball, and MLK and have a society that reinforced that ideology. They were saying what they thought made them a "good person." Americanism is a religion, as Smitty says. The Woke have taken control of all levers of American society, and are turning the straight path crooked. You cannot just espouse the Dan Carlin America-That-Never-Was talking points and expect to have them reinforced by the world around you.

So while the mainstream protestant denominations and the Catholics are hurting, that isn't the case in all of Christendom. The right wing backlash will have a large religious component.
