I get the concern for salmon and fish swimming upriver though. That did some serious fucking damage to fish populations worldwide, before they figured out fish ladders.

This problem came from developing the electric grid, all developed and implemented by central planners.
The same people that created the problem, 30 years later started screaming about how bad it was. That wouldn't have happened if small communities were allowed to stay independent.

That is why you watch out where you put them.
