My only fear about Trump isn't that he will become emperor, my fear is he is Caesar and sets the groundwork for Augustus to become emperor a generation later.

Pretty hard to be a Caesar without the loyalty of the troops. The Fall of the Republic was a military coup. He was more popular with both the army and the people than the rest of the government.

Whatever ridiculous thing the government is doing is ‘necessary’. Therefore, the threat of right-wing coup must be real, right?

Every time I try to listen to this guy, he's off, so I gave up on him. This article for example: in it he gives reasons Trump lost; there is only two reasons: (1) MSM pure propaganda causing TDS in the majority of the population, and (2) election fraud. There is nothing Trump could have done about either; he was completely hamstrung; no other post hoc re-evaluations by VDH and his ilk can change that.
