My argument isn’t against the technology, it’s that private money is a Ponzi scheme waiting to happen.

Why's that?

Like all Ponzi schemes, people make money by other people paying into the bottom. There's no product; nobody is offering a good or service; people aren't using it as "insurance" even though that's one of the thin excuses they use. And notice how the whole thing falls apart if there isn't a constant stream of new rubes getting in. "Investors" are totally dependent on a private entity to deliver on a too-good-to-be-true promise, and there is no recourse if they don't.

There's no product; nobody is offering a good or service;

The currency is the good. But for it to be a ponzi scheme, nobody would want the currency except only to trade it, but that isnt the case. Drugs on the dark web man. Go to a dark market sometime. And you could also argue that political outsider want it to spend it for a number of reasons too, but I'd say right now, drugs is the biggest reason why it isnt a ponzi scheme.

I would agree that it's probably way overvalued, but there is a big reason people want it other than just to sell it.
