This is a big reason why China is acting so aggressive right now. They know this, and they are trying to change the status quo to a one they can manipulate to their own good. We can continue to ride more traditional economic models longer than most other countries, but as these other developed countries start seeing their populations stagnate and decline we need to watch closely as to how they deal with it and learn from it, because we will eventually hit a similar demographics.
