I shouldn't be so surprised because I've written at least a 100 pages on just this happening if we didn't get the "most liberty to most people" situation worked out. Because I was gone for a decade (both out of the country and preoccupied with medicine), I didn't know it had already occurred. I hoped it was just a Left Coast thing... Then we were taken over by the Covidians.

The big problem is that most people aren't willing to risk their livelihoods. I'm beginning to think that is just another manifestation of moral cowardice. If the only thing people care about are their livelihoods, they'll put up with any amount of personal infringement as long as the checks keep clearing.

I agree partly. The problem is that as a culture, we have all agreed to pursue comfort as an end, rather than truth or virtue. Those things come secondary to comfort.
