As I understand it, there is no reason to stop PA certification in favor of Biden even with the contested mail in ballots being argued at SCOTUS, since the court decision won't affect the election outcome.

Last I heard, the contested ballots only amount to about 14,000 - which is a lot, but wouldn't hand PA to Trump.
Those are the ones received after 8 pm. This is about all non-signature verified ballots. Potentially, 100,000
Do you have a link? I am not sure what you are talking about.

Nobody you’d want to listen to. I’m interested in how the MSM is portraying it. If they’re doing the, “It’s only 14,000 ballots” thing, hold on to your hat.

For perspective, the typical change in votes from a recount is about 400 (and usually in favor of the initial winner - like in 2016 WI recount), so Trump's team would have to provide some sort of evidence beyond hearsay that this election had error and fraud 10 to 100x the norm in important states before state certifications were blocked.
Did you forget about the 2000 election?
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

That is just the only hard number that is higher than a couple hundred that I have seen.

What I have seen from the MSM on signature verification is that the number of ballots where people didn't fill everything out correctly is vanishingly small, so anything getting up to 100,000 suggests a challenge to ballots that were filled out correctly and that represent good faith votes.

I have a hard time seeing a court throw that many votes out when ballots were filled out according to the rules.

That was about 500 votes.

The average change, to be more accurate, is, I believe, .028%.

Also, in 2000, Gore sought the recount, and the courts stopped it.

Got it. I’m trying to balance competing narratives.

I'd still like to see where this 100,000 number is coming from.
