From firsthand experience, I know someone can be manic without the depression aftermath, but there is a trough. Because you've often spoke poetically, I'm excusing it as exploring new rhetorical battlegrounds, and I've seen you manipulate the flow of conversations before using the same technique. However, it also sounds like a high; which I also recognize firsthand.

We went out with a musician couple we met at the clubs for dinner, and during the conversation, they were telling us that at one of the clubs there was a Swinger's group other people had described to them. After listening a bit, I recognized they were talking about Gwynne & me, but they didn't catch it; now other people are going to think they're swingers too.

Moral of this story: associate with a beautiful woman and people's thoughts will eventually go there because they want some too.
