I'm just glad it's your country, not ours; however, if Biden "wins," ours will soon follow.
I actually cannot. It’s a terrible idea.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 7:10 amThere are several good reasons for doing this.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 6:25 amCould be worse...

It helps the companies that specialise in selling these items rather than just making the supermarkets even richer.
It helps to remind people that they should only be shopping for essential goods.
It's actually aimed at helping the small independent shops.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 10:15 amSo essentially removing all possible competition for Amazon in every product category, which all but eliminates domestic producers of those products and all retailers.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 10:06 amIt cuts down the time people spend in the supermarket, it's a lockdown you shouldn't be browsing for new bedding or electric toasters. In addition, removing the ability of all citizens to purchase anything other than government-deemed ‘essentials’ without a 2-3 day waiting period.
All for a virus that has roughly the impact of seasonal flu.
And this is reasonable to you?
