I don’t think this was anything other than just stupidity. PLA would not stockpile that much munitions in one place bc it would be very easy to destroy or seize....It would be out of character of Israel to cause an explosion that big in a crowded city - especially since they would be the first accused of doing so - Israel blowing shit up in Iran is different bc the other Arab countries in region are scared of a nuclear Iran.

NY Attorney General trying to dissolve the NRA with civil action. I'm not sure this is a 2nd Amendment flashpoint, but once they've done away with the NRA (provided they succeed) it won't be too long before they attempt to attack the 2nd Amendment.

I'd imagine SWAT teams would do it, hit scattered areas once a week or so. Try not to cause a giant ruckus.

Pretty unlikely they'd complete the job though.

Local cops in my area have outright refused to enforce any kind of gun control measures. We don't have anyone making any, of course, but they have already said that if it came down to it they aren't enforcing it. We've already had municipal departments refuse to enforce mask ordinances in defiance of county authorities.

I highly doubt that. SWAT teams aren't big enough to cover all the ground they'd need to.

If "confiscations" happen, all they'll need to do is offer cash in exchange for voluntarily giving up your weapon. Everyone else, they'll get them eventually by monitoring social media. The objective isn't to get every gun. The objective is to make gun-owning a crime.
