Tea Party was the Last Gasp
I was going through my quotes today from back in Tea Party times, and it occurred to me that the Tea Party was the Boomers' last gasp pushback against egalitariansim. They won quite a few seats that election but lost them all pretty quickly. I didn't catch it at the time because even though I was aware of the Marxist direction, the dam had not burst, and I'm at the tail-end of Boomers so I didn't get to ride their last bit of desperation. The reason Republicans aren't fighting back is because the Boomers/Tea Partiers aged out.

If you want government to intervene domestically, you’re a liberal.
If you want government to intervene overseas, you’re a conservative.
If you want government to intervene everywhere, you’re a moderate.
If you don’t want government to intervene anywhere, you’re an extremist.

They resurrected the tea party to protest against giving us more unemployment money. Wouldn't want government overreach doing something for us instead of their corporate boy friends.

The problem with Republicans & Libertarians is that they have no problem with the concentration of wealth or wealth disparity, they admire it even. The $trillions being paid out during this anti-Trump campaign are mostly going to people who already have wealth, so that they don't lose any, which just widens the gap.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 6:56 amThey resurrected the tea party to protest against giving us more unemployment money. Look how BLM has concentrated wealth.
They are taking in Millions, probably over a Billion and they feed the machine, they don't help one back business person burned out by riots, not one nameless victim of Black on Black crime.

You’re thinking like The Patriarchy; BLM is a Communist revolution; they want all the wealth, then they’ll make everyone equal but them being the most equal.

It's not Communists vs capitalists anymore. That era is over. With those glasses most capitalists are communists now so it doesn't lead anywhere.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 7:53 pmYou’re thinking like The Patriarchy; BLM is a Communist revolution; they want all the wealth, then they’ll make everyone equal but them being the most equal.
BLM is a network. It's all about networks now. MAGA is another network.
At the top you have the netocrats. The ones who get it the most and know how to get a network to work for them. At the bottom you have the consumetariat. They only consume the information handed to them.
We are in an attention economy. Attention is the resource that is fought over. It can't be increased. Be careful how you spend it and try to get as much of it from others that you can.

Everybody is screaming for attention. Then the phone goes bling and their eyes glaze over, and they stare at the screen. Did someone notice me? No, just another app wanting me to notice it.

1. In a prior post, Gen X came after the boomers.
2. Modern Republicans have no issue with the wage gap.
I have an issue with the wage gap, but I'm not going to have the world burn around me to make everything even.

Damn, dude; is that yours? It's good, especially the zero-sum gain aspect. So often, the "raising tide lifts all boats" argument gets in the way.Hastur wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 1:20 amIt's not Communists vs capitalists anymore. That era is over.
