I see a lot of celebrity worship around me, so I figured I'd start a thread cataloging the brokenness of the modern American celebrity. The American Hollywood celebrity has changed along with our nation, and can be seen as a reflection of the cultural mores at large. In our current era, we have elevated the celebrity to idol (in the biblical sense) status. The American normie sees these pseudo-thespians as a sort of secular shaman, through which they see their own values reflected, their own lives of material consumption validated. While there have certainly always been subversive elements within these communities, we can now see the rottenness inherent in the material culture of celebrity worship, thanks to social media.

Apparently, the accusation that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are pedophiles comes from Liz Crokin, a tabloid gossip columnist who may (Crokin claims, at least) have suffered brain damage from a bad case of meningitis.

Crokin has also claimed Hillary Clinton used witchcraft to curse her after Crokin lost the tips of two fingers in a surfing accident - which, while almost certainly true, proves Crokin tends to make claims that are difficult to verify.
