No, no receipts. Got to be able to raise your own money. They are broke as it is. Dirty little secret they need this over with moreso than any Republican.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 11:40 pmWell, when you put it that way... they’ll probably get some funding/supplies from the DNC, hmm?clubgop wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 10:23 pmIt already is. Everyone already sees the double standard. CNN is actually in the area giving these people airtime. It is a Trump commercial in realtime. These people are total fame whores, they are going to show their ass and when this thing fails their 15 mins will be up. Does anyone remember Cindy Sheehan? All the empathy and sympathy was with her and as usual the left overplay their hand and overstay their welcome then the dems will throw these people right out the Overton window on the kook retirement village. 20 weeks until election day, 20 weeks of the Governor and Mayor looking like enablers of the people. 20 weeks of these people turning Lord of the flies and watching it all on TV. 20 weeks of this thing to fail on its own. Does anyone really think this thing will last that long?

Here we go again....
I watched the videos - not a clear cut case IMHO.
Dude was passed out in Wendy’s drive through, cops come to get him out of his vehicle, did fights cops, steels taser, runs Way, points taser at cop, cop shoots.
Not even close to what happened to Floyd...and I didn’t know it was controversial that if you actually fight with a cop and steel his taser you might get shot...
So then the “protesters” set fire to the Wendy’s and blocked the fire trucks from getting there for 45 minutes. Makes sense to me.

Kind of interesting. It was known to be a non-lethal weapon, so yeah... they don’t have a right to shoot.Zlaxer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 3:46 amhttps://news.trust.org/item/20200614025458-0swhk

It’s odd that we’ve just accepted that you’ll be dead for resisting arrest.

Re: Seriously, no one is talking about the riots?
Since athletes have nothing better to do while waiting for their season to resume, kneeling during the anthem has come up a lot in the past weeks.
Drew Brees initially took a noble stand, only to immediately backtrack. His wife did an even more embarrassing walk back a few days after that. Today I read JJ Watt is all for the kneeling now.
The latest line being (re)used to sell this is that it's not about the flag:
I've been fine so far without professional sports. If they continue to do these dumb social justice crusades I may not come back to some of them.

Bullshit. If it's not about the flag, then don't do it during the anthem. That time is reserved for respecting those who fought for our freedom. I don't care how many times or how many brainwashed athletes say it isn't about the flag, they all know that it is. That is why they choose that time to do it. How about you all take a knee during the first play of the game instead? Better yet, how about just taking the cause off the field and out of your workplace. We watch sports as an escape from the realities of life, not to be lectured to. Take a knee in front of the places you feel are not treating people fairly, not in front of all the fans, most of whom are not the racists you apparently wish wee were."Yeah, I'll take a knee -- I'm all for it," O'Brien told the Houston Chronicle. "The players have a right to protest, a right to be heard and a right to be who they are. They're not taking a knee because they're against our flag. They're taking a knee because they haven't been treated equally in this country for over 400 years."

It's a non-lethal weapon, but it the cop gets tased he is then helpless to defend himself in the presence of someone who fought him, took his weapon, an then used it against him. Now that person can come up to him take his gun and shoot him while he lies there helpless.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 6:49 amKind of interesting. Fuck that. He resisted arrest (saw the cell phone video) by punching and kicking officers. Then he stole one of their tasers. Then he ran and shot the taser back at one of them. Sorry, you do all of that and then shoot a weapon at a cop you are now open game to being shot.

Interesting that they get to follow different rules than the rest of the citizenry.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 7:21 amIt's a non-lethal weapon, but it the cop gets tased he is then helpless to defend himself in the presence of someone who fought him, took his weapon, an then used it against him. So, am I justified in shooting someone that points a taser at me?

Interesting that you left out fighting with them, stealing their weapon, and then actually firing it at them.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 8:19 amInteresting that they get to follow different rules than the rest of the citizenry.
