I piss both on that, since I don't abide the MHF town of Jante's conformity, as well as the idea that some country over on the other side of the Atlantic is really better than Denmark. It's my individuality vs the soulcrushing conformity of this Jante village, and my collective against theirs. Not being Swedish, I dislike soulcrushing conformity a little more than you.
There's a vast difference in not respecting other people being proud of their accomplishments and thinking it is pointless pomposity to pull out irrelevant credentials every time they're being challenged on something, or someone plain doesn't say something that pleases them. Jantelov is about resenting those who stand apart or above the rest, simply because they stand apart or above, in itself. If someone stands apart - and is also an asshole and I criticize them for being an asshole, that's also not Jantelov. Pointing out the absurdity of saying "You're wrong about X politics - because I travelled and wrote about Y" or "you're wrong about issue A because I have three degrees completely unrelated to issue A", isn't "Jantelov".

Hastur: Thank you for remind me of Jante's Law. I just read about that Stalinist Bjorinist stuff in Michael Booth's book but I forgot it. You don't piss on it, you embody it. You are cool with stealing everyone's paycheck to support some commie housing garbage. You are O'brien from 1984 basically except with long blonde hair and a suaer aug like in Die HardBjornP wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 1:29 pmEveryone knows Janteloven. If you are ok with your taxes going to your military, police and courts, never paying for the White House, you are as ok with "stealing everyone's paycheck" as I.
Bismarck wasn't a Commie, btw. Most Conservatives in Europe either support the welfare state or at least don't call it idiotic, childish hysterical shit like Communist/Stalinist/Marxist. Don't use words you don’t understand.

As of yet, I haven't read an ancap solution to the military/nukes or what have you, so I am tentatively for those things. But I'm not done with Hoppe by a long shot, and he is a smart dude, so my views of this are liable to change. Other than that though, I think gov't should be reduced to down to bare essentialsBjornP wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 4:17 pmIf you are ok with your taxes going to your military, police and courts, never paying for the White House, you are as ok with "stealing everyone's paycheck" as I.

You will find that humans have been taking care of themselves for thousands of years without the need for school administrators and welfare office works+twitter police.
And we have exponentially more tech and resources now. So yeah, I'm fine with the president not being paid. Harry Truman was the last broke ass president. Folks aint signing up for the job because of the money.
After you google Trump's net worth, google Obama's, then Bush's, then Clinton's, then Bush's, then Reagans etc
Not a lot of them on food stamps..

You have a romanticized view of cops btw. Most of their job isn't spent busting through skylights and stopping terrorists or pedo rings like on those ridiculous Danish cop shows on netflix or Fox. Most of the cop's day is spent sitting in the median busting folks on the way to work for speeding (as though the cops don't steal enough from their pensions and salaries). Most cops are as useful as tits on a cactus. I've interacted with them quite a bit in my 20's. They are not solving the Lindbergh baby case, believe that. Most cops can't even use their squad car computer to look up their ex girlfriend's facebook account and private info without getting powdered donut sugar on it. They are shitbirds to the max my Dovne friend.

It's right here.
Man, you really don't have your finger on the pulse of this one.
Burning down the precinct was the most effective thing the community could've done.
Day 1 Riots: No one cares, AG saying "Let's not be hasty"
Day 2 Riots: Private businesses burned, No one cares, more "Let the system work"
Day 3 Riots: Precinct burned, "WHOA NELLY! LISTEN, WE'VE JUST LAID CHARGES FASTER THAN WE EVER HAVE IN MINNESOTA! PLZ STOP!!!"
Americans love it when the over-reaching, abusive government, eats shit.
We love it when our government fucking FEARS us because they are reminded they don't have us under control like they think they do. That's American's bread, honey, milk, apple pie, and butter right there.
That is America.
If you lived over here, you'd know that.

Re: A Prairie Home Conflagration
It's not easy being a cop. You gotta undestand, when they pull you over and write the ticket, often they are crying. They know you make less than they do, and don't have a tax subsidized pension set up, but 5 miles an hour over is 5 miles per hour over. They wipe their tears, because they have an important job to do. They need 15 more tickets today, or they run the risk of not meeting their budget. I always tell cops not to feel bad about stopping me on the way to work. They were just doing their job, and I'd expect nothing less from a warrior class elite society member. It can get emotional. I have cried as hard as they have. We also hug in the end, and I take my ticket and proudly walk to courthouse, beaming as I write the check knowing that I am helping to keep the dangerous 35 mph stretch of Aloma Ave safe.
