This all looks to me like a triumph of a functioning liberal democracy.

Investigating ties to foreign operators is one of the executive branch's main jobs. The executive branch of our government is not Trump, it is the entire machinery of the CiC. That machinery was doing its due diligence when looking into potential interference in our democracy. They went at people hard, and didn't find anything that would stick in a liberal democratic court that presumes innocence.

Sure. What are we investigating? What do we need to know that we don't already know that would require some healthy ruffling?
