We Need to Ban Driving
Almost 40,000 Americans die in car accidents each year. Over 100 are killed every day. Additionally, 4.4 million require serious medical attention. We cannot have people on the road with these unacceptable losses. They need to stay in their houses until this is fixed.
No dude, its not just a car crash. We are talking about people's lives.
Do your part comrade! Stay home and let the experts ensure public safety!
Remember, if its not 100% safe, we cannot allow any freedom to take place!

I think we should also definitely ban people from voting in any kind of election who demonstrate they have no idea what the difference is between linear and exponential.

1600 deaths in a state of 21 million people. After many months in 2020. Not the apocalypse you had in mind huh? Looks like about 2046 Floridians died of the flu and associated conditions like pneumonia in 2019. 3.1k died in 2017.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 2:29 pmI think we should also definitely ban people from voting in any kind of election who demonstrate they have no idea what the difference is between linear and exponential.

Does it never cross your mind to wonder how many might have died without social distancing?heydaralon wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 6:19 am1600 deaths in a state of 21 million people. What you are actually doing here is backing the lockdown, you just don't realise you are doing it.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

You still do not understand what the fuck you are talking about and you are making incredibly ignorant decisions based on a misunderstanding of mathematics.heydaralon wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 6:19 am1600 deaths in a state of 21 million people. Exponential growth does not mean "fast growth". It means each iteration of growth is proportionate to the previous iteration. Exponential growth is relatively slow for a long time and then explodes in a few iterations.
For just a few minutes consider the possibility that your lacking math skills are seriously fucking with your head.

I think you have fucked your own head. You have railed against Mammon and shekel cuckery on here for years. You don't like many things about America (the things incidentally that make it a country that is actually worth fucking living in), and you thought this virus would lead to some kind of apocalyptic vindication of the things you are saying. You hitched yourself to this COVID horse, and now that it is losing, you have literally resorted to posting links of individual cases of children with COVID.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 8:26 amYou still do not understand what the fuck you are talking about and you are making incredibly ignorant decisions based on a misunderstanding of mathematics.heydaralon wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 6:19 am1600 deaths in a state of 21 million people. Incidentally, many of these links are from NYC, a city that you hate and wish were destroyed, so in effect you are using these kids as concern troll human shields. And at least half a dozen posters have pointed out, the models you so vindicate have not come to pass. Now you are doubling down while ignoring every data point that is 180 degrees from your Millenarian view.
I don't really know what to tell you. To me, these are the same tactics global warming activists and gun grabbers use. Identical. This "think about the children" shit is an age old tactic of people who don't like liberty. Its a tactic that progressives use. I'm not impressed by it. I'm not impressed by their models either.
For a few minutes consider the possibility that you live without skin in the game in a society that has so much surplus that we can talk shit to eachother on the internet in air conditioned houses, and that you are totally fine with destroying the livelihoods of the people that allow this surplus to exist. That's not even the worst of it. You have described with contempt people who actually value the liberties that allow you to express your opinions and live your life.
Anyway, keep fucking random thots who could have COVID and living in a bubble where you are somehow being more safe and socially responsible than some person working a job you sneeringly say is "nonessential." I'm going to keep working and enjoying the "suicide pact" of freedom.
