no thanks i don't look to any president for medical advice. who does? i just want to see this one berate the press
Sure, berate them for asking him to explain the words that fall out of his mouth. Seems legit.
you just never argue honestly, do you?
Come on Mike, you're supposed to be the reasonable one who criticises Trump when he says dumb things yet here you are defending him for suggesting doctors should look into injecting disinfectants into the body.
It was an incredibly stupid and potentially dangerous thing to say as shown by the fish tank cleaner incident. Just admit it and move on. You're damaging your reputation as a balanced member of the right here.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

That was before the documentary, though.

luckily for trump supporters they seem to know when the president is just riffing on ideas, often dumbly, since the fish tank cleaner incident happened with democratic donors. weird how only democrats are the ones that take him both literally and out of context simultaneously

This connects rather well with the conversation in another thread about the onus of understanding.
It would seem that being a Trump supporter requires that the reader or listener meets him a little more than halfway in understanding how to cut through the absurdities.
HAIL!
Her needs America so they won't just take his shit away like in some pussy non gun totting countries can happen.

Yeah, but no.
The frightening thing about his comments were not that people would act upon the insane speculations he uttered, but the President of the United States might seriously have considered injecting UV lights into bodies and spraying lysol into people's lungs as worthy avenues of research to fight the pandemic. If that was not him trolling the world, then we really need to identify the heroes in that cabinet that undoubtedly saved the world several times over so their contributions can be recognized.

I see it that way as well, but that is because I have at least a nascent case of TDS, and am unwilling to carry too much water for him - benefit of the doubt-wise.

It's almost like a variation of Dr. Strangelove going on.

Yeah, it was a very dumb set of ideas being riffed.
I think astoundingly dumb things like this are easier to understand if you view Trump as a Coast to Coast AM and Alex Jones listener. He’s that dude. He may have incredible skills or competence in some areas, but in others he’s completely susceptible to the carnival barker crowd.
That being said, much hay is being made over something that has zero impact on the real world.
