State-run Liquor Stores? That is some Scandinavian commie bullshit! I guess Prohibition never ended for some of those nanny state faggots in our Progressive federal city. Come to Florida. Bars are closed, but the liquor flows like the river Jordan. It is great, honestly.clubgop wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:01 pmWas making bank earlier but now that people are not panicking like they were it has gone back to normal summer business. No college kids getting a study stream of diflucan, macrobid, or flagyl. The spousal gravy train has been making regular stops. Red wine is the best. No one gets belligerent just lowered inhibitions. They closed the liquor stores here because they are state run so we got cases of wine delivered so we down about a bottle a night.

They do it in Finland and other Scandie places. Finland is full of alcoholics. This is well known and sterotyped. Who are they protecting? If they banned liquor in that Country, the folks there would simply drive across the border to buy booze. Thats what millions in Scandinavia do already. They go to places where the liquor is cheaper. This nanny state shit is a cancer. Anyone who is an alcoholic is gonna still be one until they decide to personally make the change. States need not worry. It will happen with or without them. Its so stupid. Its all so stupid. Nanny Staters lack the power of North Korea and they have about the same level of imagination. Who falls for this shit and their arguments? I don't get it.StCapps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:25 pmThat's actually Canadian Commie bullshit. Why is Canada doing that shit? I thought that Al Capone and George Remus bought their shit from Canada during Prohibition anyway. In my corner of the world, this doesn't affect me, but I am truly curious. Canada saw how badly this worked out in America, and they did it anyway. Wtf? They must have done it after we did which is extra stupid...

Ontario actually did it before America, from 1916 to 1927, and the Zombie Legacy project of State Run Liquor Stores continues to this day, and the Nanny Staters still think it's a good thing to save the children from themselvesheydaralon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:36 pmWhy is Canada doing that shit? I truly don't get these people. Neither of us ever will. But my favorite thing about state run liquor stores is the State is fine with folks killing themselves with alcohol, as long as they get their cut. It reminds me of this article I read like 10 years ago, (written by a Progressive type) who said that the government should impose a tax on violent video games and movies because to help pay for the cost that Columbine's and Sandy Hook's have on society. Someone retweeted it and said that finally the gov't has found a way to profit on mass shootings. lolStCapps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:41 pmOntario actually did it before America, from 1916 to 1927, and the Zombie Legacy project of State Run Liquor Stores continues to this day, and the Nanny Staters still think it's a good thing to save the children from themselvesheydaralon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:36 pmWhy is Canada doing that shit? That's Pennsylvania. You can buy beer and wine at certain places like pizza shops or grocery stores or distributors, but hard liquor you have to go through the PLCB. No one bothers to change it. The stores are clean, big and the hours are good. Prices are reasonable because we got NJ, Delaware on the border and they do make money. Now I know a monopoly on liquor sales turning a profit is not some great achievement but for government work it is.StCapps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:25 pmThat's actually Canadian Commie bullshit. We got state run Liquor Stores here in Swede as well. That was one of the things our state had to fight tooth and nail to keep when we joined the EU. Sadly they won that fight. The good news is we now can take a shitload with us when we cross borders, and we can buy liquor online from the rest of the EU. I buy my wine from HAWESKO in Hamburg. If I order at least 24 bottles the freight is only $12 delivered to my door.clubgop wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:40 pmThat's Pennsylvania.
