She says she is thinking of leaving the firm in favor of working from home permanently

There are firms offering her as much or more money to just work online
JRJ just keeps cashing your life lottery tickets, that's your dream come true
Pretty much

Although in this case it would be her dedicated nature,

her corporate reputation for productivity precedes her

other firms want it enough to let her name her own terms

she has a lot of experience, she can market that

Not even for me, I'm pretty low maintenance, I really don't need it myself

But to buy that sacred wifey putty a nice house to have kids in when I find Muh Apollonia, I could sure go for some of that

That's what I meant, I lived on army pay with some gigs on the side

Never needed more when I was single

But when your wife makes a lot of money, it's nice to have bank of your own

From my point of view, I put in a lotta years in the trenches, hard labor for the Queen

So I earned a nice retirement

Don't forget also, when we met, she had no money

All she had was paycheck to paycheck, paying off a $40,000 student loan

I had more money than her back then

I didn't know she was going to climb the corporate ladder like she did

She didn't know I was going to get an inheritance

When we started out, we had a junky car and were living in a basement apartment like everybody else

When we met, she was working as a customer service rep for Bell Mobility

She clawed her way up out of that by sheer hard work

But she's done her time in the trenches too

Well I haven't earned a nice retirement yet, but the right woman, kids and a nice house is all I need, so the bar ain't that high, but it ain't cheap either

I'm starting at the bottom, but hopefully I get there eventually
