Yeah you got it. She was talking about some of her friends that she hadn't been able to see since this Commie Cooties thang, and then I asked if she had a boyfriend and she said "Yeah, I'm involved with somebody", and I said "well, I just had to ask", then I changed subject and eventually made my exit a minute or so later

Then like a half an hour, I went to change a catheter bag over, and found the resident had a fall and got his lodged in a garbage can, so I had to send him to the hospital, quite the shift

It's a distinct possibility, she didn't say boyfriend directly, but she wasn't very comfortable after that either, made little eye contact and retreated back into her shell

She'll be back in eventually, the topic will get brought up again at some point, might be the bat signal, but the seed is still planted, and I can tend to it down the road, there might still be time on the clock and drives still to come, and if Patty Mahomes can find a way, he'll take some more shots, if the "boyfriend" is replaceable

Maybe I should have pressed, but if this guy is replaceable, he'll probably be just as replaceable next shift she's in

She never brought him up prior and didn't take the opportunity to talk about him when asked, so it's not necessarily game over, and if it isn't, there is plenty of time left on the clock for Patty Mahomes to work with
