The US stands at 12th in deaths per Million, with 125 deaths per million. At number 11 on the list is Sweden with 156 deaths per million. Sweden has not enforced strict lockdowns, and has taken the course of heard immunity. Explain why Sweden is not extremely higher than the USA.

We are now at the point of arguing whether any of these fucking clowns deserve an ICU bed if that means somebody else has to die. If their antics don't cause their community to blast through surge capacity, then fine. Whatever. But if so, absolutely fucking not. Not a single one of them should get resources until everybody else does.

And if any of those kids get sick: felony child endangerment.

In China and Italy and probably Iran, if you were old and got it, you're fucked, you don't get a bed, you just die.

Sweden may have been less strict than most other nations but ''almost nothing'' is grossly misleading. Schools and colleges have been shut down, mass gatherings of more than 50 people have been banned and social distancing rules are being applied.
This more lax approach has still to be fully evaluated but early signs are that it has led to more deaths than those in its neighbours with stricter controls.
''Without controls'' is flat out untrue.
Bars and restaurants are experiencing 75% fewer customers and still running at a loss so they are not even being successful in protecting businesses.

Our trajectory stalled when we went into lock down. We flattened the curve up until dumbasses decided to protest not dying from covfefe.

Sweden's fatalities are doubling about every 12 days. About 24 days ago they had about 21 deaths. 12 days ago they were just under 700 deaths. Today they are over 1500 deaths. The virus is completely in control of its destiny in Sweden right now.

Without stricter controls, they are looking at 3000 deaths before the middle of next month, and 6000 deaths by Jun.

There is nothing positive about that at all. I'd imagine they are going to implement social measures soon, but a lot of those fatalities are baked in now.

Again: if you don't understand math -- especially the nature of exponential growth -- then you really have no business making decisions about this, and you sure as shit have no business spreading the contagion because you are overly confident in your ignorance about how exponential growth works.

We'll see. I'm very thankful that Sweden has volunteered to be the control group for the world. Plus they are a 1st World country with Socialized medicine and well educated populace. Couldn't ask for more when this is studied after the fact.

We have governments locking up people for worshipping. Those government leaders don't observe social distancing or pandemic PPE.

Those same government leaders release prisoners because they might get COVID, but develop apps and hotlines for citizens to rat out others citizens who don't follow the decrees of the government.
