Yeah that's shitty reasoning. I was chatting to a friend yesterday who is an ICU technician, she was saying that they wear all the gear when in contact with patients known to have the bug then they all sit together in the staff canteen with no kit on at all. The only concession they made is to remove every other chair to make them sit a little further apart.
No one gets tested unless they show symptoms.
