plenty of criticisms of trump to be made, but more often than not his opposition make fools of themselves and force me to defend him
*yip*

And all of those calling Monte out on TDS can and do make far more effective attacks on Trump than he ever will, while he pretends we are just against any criticism of Trump whatsoever because that's what he needs to tell himself to prevent himself from realizing that he is a terrible judge of the thing he is the most obsessed about

Funniest POTUS Evah
it's just pure entertainment

mind you, I don't think the POTUS is as important as the media makes the office out to be

mostly Presidents are trapped in the West Wing and don't actually have much control of anything

Obama had a smooth personality, he was polished, still got jack shit done.
That seems to be an advantage of the Parliamentary system. If there is a lack of majority in the House and nothing can get passed we usually end up with an election and start again.
In the US system, you just end up with lame duck Presidents unable to pass anything because they have lost one or both houses. That's how it seems to me anyway.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

America is designed to prevent the Separated Powers from behaving like a Westminster Parliament

Americans did not actually revolt against George III, they revolted against Westminster

Then came the Pennsylvanian counter-revolution.

Oh ok, just outright personal attack now.
Tiny bit of perspective over media content but not much else.
Envious and insecure? I don't think so.
It's the obsessive nature of it

You talk about Trump more than I talk about my wife

Trump is your muse, dude.

It's weird
There must have been plenty of people who never shut up about Obama that didn't just get dismissed as deranged.
I don't mind being told why I'm wrong, I might even learn something from that whether I admit it or not but simply being dismissed as deranged is no use at all.

TDS people can’t be convinced.

Don’t worry, no one can change anyone’s mind, but you deny that fact more vehemently than usual due to your TDS.

p.s. when somebody changes my mind, it means I’d never really made it.

Is that an advantage though when you often get a whole second term where you just have a lame duck President?
It's not as if Obama didn't try to achieve things, he was just blocked at every turn by the Republicans. To have a system where the opposition has so much power seems doomed to failure unless you get a leader so popular that he can keep both houses for the duration of his presidency.

Bold statement, care to back it up with an explanation?

Yeah they did

Obama Derangement Syndrome was totally a thing, but your Trump Derangement Syndrome is on a whole other level, you just want to write off anyone telling you you're deranged as sucking Trump's dick, even when they clearly aren't, because admitting that would destroy your self image
