I agree with this. Real bioweapons need to kill everyone quickly and peter out so they don't infect the entire world. When I said bioweapon, I misspoke. I should have said "a virus that was held in a Wuhan Research Center escaping isn't implausible to me, due to a lack of quality controls in China."

There is a chance this was definitely a lab leak, however, but the question is from what lab considering that virus was exported to labs around the world.

You have two versions of the contagion. One that is mild but causes immunity to both. By releasing that one to your own population you protect them against the more aggressive version that you spread among the enemy.
There is a theory that the Chinese have a milder version of the new corona and that they sprayed it in Wuhan after the bad virus got out by mistake.
Then they isolated Wuhan from the rest of China while still keeping the international flights going out.

Why is it so important for you to label this as leaking from a Chinese bio lab?
If your point is just to blame Chinese incompetence you could just as easily slam them for their poor hygiene standards in the Wuhan wet market which seems a much more logical source of the outbreak due to their habit of selling live bats known to have the virus. We've seen a scientific report stating that it is very likely to be able to catch the bug though contact with bat shit and going into bat caves or cramming them into cages in a market would leave you exposed to the risk far more easily than at a high security science lab.
Maybe it did, no one can completely rule it out but the evidence for the market being the source is far more compelling IMO.
