Btw, anyone know a good deal online for more foil? I’m running low and grocery stores pick up orders are backed up for weeks.
But then again - how crazy is what I just outlined - really?
Basically the same thing I’ve been saying since February. It’s far from impossible. But what would we do about it? Any direct military confrontation ends up in flying nukes.
Best case - we start seriously taking back our manufacturing base.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa there, Gurkey Turkey.
Say what?
You .... know .... who ... else ... said ... bring ... manufacturing ...back ... from .... China?
Has he done it? Note - he hasn’t called it the “Chinese Virus” recently - maybe Pooh Bear suckled the Hair God Emperor with magical honey, e.g, you need us to get reelected... I’ll be watching the Don closely to see what he does....also, he jsut expanded H1b visas for Indians in exchange for pharma drugs - he should have told india give us what we bought or you go it alone against PRC.
We're not socialist/communist, so our government can't *make* businesses manufacture anywhere.
All we can do is relax oppressive taxes and regulations to make manufacturing here more appealing.
Has Trump lowered taxes and slashed regulations?
Are there still Democrats in Federal power who can stop him?

Welp, guess it's a work in progress then.

No, he actually raised them 25% or more on imports.
And while they can’t compel manufacturing location, they can certainly debase the currency to the tune of $20T and shovel it into the mega corps.
How prepared are Americans to pay more for products?
'Cos that's what will happen if you stop manufacturing in cheap labour countries and bring it home.
Higher prices mean lower standards of living.
Unless you automate production.
That won't bring back jobs.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
