I was talking to you not about you.Zlaxer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 2:03 pmMontegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:57 pmIt's perfectly possible that both are true. That's not the point though.
Just labeling StA as a commie stooge for bringing new information to the table is as infantile as calling any criticism of Trump, no matter how valid, TDS.
This forum can be both a chat room for Carlin refugees and a place to discuss the issues of the day in fine detail. There is no need to choose just one and shit on the other.
Look, I don't agree with everything Speaker says, far from it, but I like to read his opinions and don't want to see him chased off by some low info Trump whisperer.
I didn’t call him (or you a commie) - at least not today
And I’m not chasing him off - seriously would like his answer....but at same time Capps is partially right, pretending like it has to be one or the other is not accurate.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I didn't see where he was doing that. I saw him offering the possibility that it came from the US or western China.
The main point being that it is wrong to blame China for being the origin of the virus if you are doing it just to give our governments a pass for their mishandling of the spread once it arrived on our shores. Especially if there's a chance it actually originated in America.

Quick walk down memory lane on our "mismanagement".Zlaxer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:33 pmMontegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:18 pmWhat you are forgetting is that if we don't scapegoat China then we have to look to our own governments' mismanagement of the pandemic and that's not going to get Trump re-elected in November.
You are fighting a losing battle here mate.
Now put your blinkers on and get with the program...
There are no facts in the post-truth world.
Not sure why It has to be either PRC caused this or our government fucked up the response - out of realm of possibilities that both are true?
Remember when Trump was preparing for Coronavirus in January and all the MSM could do is bleat "Raaaaaaaaaaaaccccccissst!"?
Remember all the Democrat governors in NY, CA, and WA wailing about how unprepared the Federal government was, and how lives were going to be lost because states couldn't get the supplies they needed?
And then WA sent back 400 ventilators to other states.
And CA sent 500 ventilators back to the national stockpile.
And WA state built, and then broke down, and entire field hospital without ever serving one damn citizen?
Yes . . . all that mismanagement.
But not from Trump.
From the dipshits that scream racism at everything, who demand far more medical supplies than they need, and who spend their time lying on TV and on the internet instead of doing their jobs.
Luckily we're pulling off a flat curve, in spite of the usual leftist bushwhackings against America and its citizens.
But please . . . don't be a goldfish.
Remember the shit that actually happened, not what the MSM told you happened after their spin doctors spent a few weeks on it.

Then there's the way he's used his daily press meetings to praise himself and contradict his medical experts rather than stick to the actual fucking issues.
I get it though, Red man bad, Orange man good no matter what the truth is.
God bless Trump and God bless the US of A.

No, the Bad Orange Man is just the CinC of the Pentagon

He's not that important

New York Times, Rosie Spinks: Who Says It’s Not Safe to Travel to China? The coronavirus travel ban is unjust and doesn’t work anyway. “The coronavirus outbreak seems defined by two opposing forces: the astonishing efficiency with which the travel industry connects the world and a political moment dominated by xenophobic rhetoric and the building of walls.”Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 2:59 pm...like the weeks Trump spent downplaying the virus in order to protect the markets when he could have been procuring testing kits and PPE or his reluctance to call for a shutdown and social distancing for the same reason.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo: “It is about the vulnerable. It's not about 95% of us. It's about a few percent who are vulnerable. That's all this is about. Bring down that anxiety, bring down that fear, bring down that paranoia.”
New York Times, Dr. David Katz: Is Our Fight Against Coronavirus Worse Than the Disease. "As much as 99 percent of active cases in the general population are ‘mild’ and do not require specific medical treatment.”
USA Today, John Bacon: Coronavirus not a global health crisis.
NPR, Allison Aubrey: "Worried about catching the new coronavirus? In the U.S., the flu is a bigger threat."
Buzzfeed, Dan Vergano: "Don’t worry about the coronavirus, worry about the flu."
.... and on, and on, and on for anyone who bothers to look for facts instead of soundbytes.
But you know . .. fuck Trump and his misinformation/mismanagement.
Becuse clearly the left was on top of this thing, as they still are - rofl.

21,000 dead Americans and counting goes to show that simply stopping flights from China was never going to be enough. Not that that was really Trump's decision anyway, the airlines stopped flying there before Trump told them to.DBTrek wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 3:13 pmNew York Times, Rosie Spinks: Who Says It’s Not Safe to Travel to China? We did the same here at around the same time so the bug made its way here via Italy instead.
But sure, blame the out of power party and make excuses for the man with the power to do what was needed.

Sorry to run you through your loop again.
I know you can't break the programming, sometimes it's just fun to press the buttons and watch you go tho.
Nostalgic, if not a bit tedious.

Likewise, it's fun to watch you rallying behind the denier in chief and replaying the old ''Dem's just shout racist'' memes while ignoring Trump's failures.
Still, it's good to see you again and I hope all is well with you.
