A lot of people are also angry that there is so much talk about the economy. Young people I work with our outraged that anyone talk about economic effects of this or the effects that will happen if we go fullblown SIFCLF, and that we should be in full blown fetal position panic right now completely disregarding the economic costs.

The economy is very fucking important. It is the reason these same people aren't begging for rice in some BAngladesh style slum town with bugs crawling out of their ass. It is the reason that they have the means to watch frivolous netflix shit and have the spare time to do so. It also pays for the expensive ass medical care for these covid victims and the healthcare they want for free.

The government is only even able to respond in the way it does with modern medicine because it has a surplus of resources generated by the economy. It is not a small consideration.

The same bernie bros at work who are whining about this over emphasis are damn sure not taking their paychecks and depositing them in the village commune fund. I see their $1200 iphones as they show me AOC facebook links.

Martin, how long did it take you to write that mystery book? I am genuinely intrigued. You don't post on here as much as other folks, but I don't remember you bringing it up. I know you have written aphorism collections and stuff, but I didn't know you wrote a novel.

I wasn't trolling you. I legit bought a paperback copy of your book last night via amazon (I hope they give you a generous percentage of that money) and I am going to read it when I get it. I will let you know what I think. I will make a thread where I review it.
