They burn it

They crank the flares up and burn the excess
Fucking hooligans.
Is there some reason they can't just stop pumping it until demand recovers?
They crank it right down to minimum, but they can't stop the well completely,

so they crank the flare up and burn the excess
If environmentalists want to do some real good, they should focus on trying to reduce waste in the oil industry instead of trying to shut it down via government intervention

So far the COVID cases in our county have slowed since we've locked down

64 cases confirmed in the county, all in four healthcare facilities

No actual signs of community spread here yet
Asheville does not seem to be in exponential growth right now either. Thank fuck for the TDS of the liberals. When Trump was talking shit about how this is like the flu and it will magically go away by April, they decided it must be completely fucking lethal and started preparing. The county was locked down before the rest of the state.
They've even said that the initial outbreak at the hospital here is contained at 25 cases, no new cases since

It isn't contained where I work yet, but the growth rate seems to be slowing a little, though maybe it's just a lag, too early to tell

The town here is pretty much sealing itself off

When I drive around in the FR-S I keep an eye out for the cops

They do seem to be camped out near all the routes in and out of town, monitoring the traffic

There are a lot of street racers around tho

Everybody is revving up at the stop

I haven't done anything reckless

But I have peeled out a couple times

$1.50 here in the Midwest.

And yeah, Saud and Russia took this as an opportunity to crush the US Shale guys, right out of the gate. Oil was trading at $10/barrel last week. They'll stop when shale waves the white flag.

Seems like the kids here have nowhere to go, so they are just driving around in their whips

Like packs of four, usually two guys two gals, driving for the sake of driving

It is pretty nice driving out there, the back roads are deserted

https://www.politico.eu/article/coronav ... ket-newtab

tl;dr: the politicians warning against "panic" talked themselves into complacency, failing to develop and distribute tests in anticipation for their epidemics, and failing to secure basic PPE their own experts warned them they would need. Little to no contact tracing and retarded AF ideas about "herd immunity" plans.
