About 1.79 here.

We have pretty fucking awful gas taxes, though.

Once they run out of storage for all the unused oil and refined products will they have to stop pumping it out of the ground?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Russia and Saudi Arabia are going to bury the hatchet at some point and the prices will go up a little.

No, at minimum oil is needed for shipping and war, so it's not going away, the MICC will prop it up for NATSEC

Yikes.

For us 36.2 cents of the 1.79 price is taxes.

Pah, it's still around £6 a gallon here. You have no idea what high gas taxes are.
However, Gaia approves.

But if supply is vastly outstripping demand sooner or later they will run out of storage. At that point what option do they have apart from stop extracting it?
