It's like I see people using the word "Unsustainable !"

Pretty sure 20 million people were killed on the Eastern Front in World War Two

The war did no stop because of it

So anything is sustainable, it won't be the people deciding what is sustainable, the bug will decide
If the bug will decide anyway, then going overkill on the shutting down the economy could just be piling on and increasing the damage while slowing the potential acquisition of immunity, with the likely result being more deaths in the long run

Or maybe it's a great idea somehow, too much fog of war to tell

I expect the Canadian government is not good at fighting wars and so this will not be a well run operation /shrugs

I expect that this is a rather large understatement

I would point out I predicted that in a war Singapore could kick Canada's ass, and now that is coming true

Indeed, so prophetic, easily one your best predictions of all time, came true mere months later

Depends on your definition

The reason why the trains run on time is that the government is quasi fascist and if you don't do exactly as you are told to do in Singapore, you go straight to prison for it, at the least.

Singapore is actually even more militarized than Israel

It's impressive what they can do, but at the same time, every single person there is effectively in the military
