How do you guys feel about the Quebecois? Are they friendly with the rest of Canada?
For whatever reason, I am naturally distrustful and hostile to the French. I do not care for them. Part of that is because I know French people despise Americans.

I feel somewhat alienated from all Canadians
I'm not a pure bred, they see me as an American, my American ways offend them
On top of that I was a soldier, Canadians only love their soldiers after we are dead,
in real time they are totally unmartial and completely ignorant as to warrior ways
Butter soft bourgeois "society", with an elite Praetorian Guard
Justin Trudeau is the proxy for the civilians, Johnny Vance was my boss
The problem for Canadians is that they don't know anything about Canada, I know it far better than they
They think Canada Day is 1 July 1867, but really it's 13 September 1759

It's like Americans are force fed the central narrative of American history
Canada is the opposite, here they submerge the central narrative in an ocean of social history vignettes
The result is that they don't know the story of their people, it's all a fog to them

I got it on PVR, but the weather is still nice enough to keep me in the backyard
Cool today, the wind is from the north, but still sunny, blue skies and puffy clouds
LOTM 9000 is hard to break away from, until the weather turns back to Sprinter

Basically South Park sums contemporary Canada up nicely
Terrence & Phillip is accurate
It's a silly place populated by silly people
Within the protected bubble provided by America, Canadians don't have to take anything seriously
Other than their own America Derangement Syndrome that is

Yeah, I enjoyed season 1. It just seemed like season 2 was going to be the same again with different baddies. Maybe I'll give it another go after I've finished Breaking Bad.heydaralon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:28 amI like the characters. Giovanni Ribisi (Pete) plays a great con artist imo, and Bryan Cranston is an epic villain. If you like heist type stuff, then you'd probably like the ending. Most con artist movies like the Oceans series are terrible to me. But I think Bryan Cranston alone makes season 1 worth watching.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:26 amI watched the first series of sneaky Pete but lost interest after a couple of episodes of series two. Capps, have you watched Sneaky Pete? Its about a con artist who steal somes guys identity and lives with his family. It concluded its third and final season awhile ago. Its not Sopranos good or anything but its entertaining. I'd put it on par with something like Dexter. IF you have seen it, you might like it. Bryan Cranston plays the bad guy in season 1 and steals every scene he's in.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
