I'm buying as much time as I can for them to find a dependable vaccine, or at least something that gives me a better chance at surviving it.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 1:49 pmAt some point you need to accept the math. Then I have the rest of the year plus-long lock down to do heavy training (which I can't do if I want to keep my immune system up) and hiking all Summer.
Also getting it over with now means I can help neighbors who are more likely to get a tougher case. Once I am immune, I can help them.
I still want to avoid it if possible.
Once it happens, you live or you die. But if you live, it's over for you and you can get on with your life.

Good question, there's no proof yet of any lasting immunity.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 4:33 pmWhat makes you think you'll be immune once you get it?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 1:33 pmI kind of want to get it over with, myself. With SARS 1 the immunity seemed to drop off after time and there were cases of reinfection.
The best chances are still a working vaccine or a cure.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

The best evidence we have is a lasting immunity once you recover.

Today's total was over 73,000 before the day reset less than an hour ago. Not a big change, but up from the day before.

Babbling drunk uncle monkey made some reassuring noises to his base. I couldn’t watch more than 2 minutes.

you guys are lame, i've been watching them every day. lots of repeat questions and repeat answers at this point but i'm here for blood and there's plenty to go around. press practically begging trump to usurp federal power to ignore states rights and clamp down on a national quarantine while trump points out the constitution prevents this but says he could do it anyway. lots of lulz to be had

I walked by a TV screen with a marquis proclaiming some doctor says you need a vaccine to get well again. I don't think that's how vaccines work but whatever.
I'm not going to watch some stupid Whitehouse press conference.
