I enjoyed Piccard.
Best Star Trek since the next generation.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

If you're looking for something else to watch, give me some of your favorite shows, and any particular genre preferences, and I will tailor my recommendation accordingly.
My favorite shows are maybe not a good barometer, I haven't watched very many. The Wire, the Sopranos, Seal Team, Workaholics, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Yellowstone, and Chappelle Show are a few that jumped out at me. I can get into anything I bet, if its good.

Seal Team and Yellowstone would be a million times better without the love interests.
My generic recommendation if you've seen Breaking Bad, The Wire and The Sopranos would be Mad Men or Deadwood. Both period pieces, the former a workplace drama and the latter a western.

My specific TV drama recommendation based on this list would have to be The Shield, it's a dope crime drama with an excellent anti-hero, second best ending in TV drama history, gets real good in the last four seasons, starts off with a bang but is a bit of slow burn until about half way through the series.

My specific TV comedy recommendation is It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, it's the Millenial version of Seinfeld, instead of Jerry's apartment as the central location, it's Paddy's Pub instead. Gets really good after Danny Devito shows up in the second season, and is still a solid show 14 seasons in, but it's peak is from the 2nd to the 7th season approximately.

If you have seen any of those shows, I will provide another recommendation to fill the gap.

Mrs Smitty was watching it, but then she said it turned into "liquid spray cheese right in the eye"

Another one of my sayings

I liked Discovery tho

Wrong. Deep Space Nine is the best Star Trek series, by far, and it's not even fucking close.

Picard is good you say? I saw the first couple episodes, didn't look promising. Discovery is way better than the Haters say it is, though.

If you haven't seen BSG, aka Battlestar Galatica, the new one, not the one from the 70's, that's the best scifi tv show of all time, even if the ending wasn't the greatest.

Deep Space Nine Muthafuckahs. Anyone who says some other Star Trek show is better either hasn't seen DS9 or they have shitty taste in Star Trek.

One Alastair Reynolds audiobook read by John Lee is better than all Star Trek ever by orders of magnitude

Once you go Reynolds it's hard to go back to Roddenberry

That being said, Michelle Yeoh made Discovery for me

I'm just saying. If you like Discovery, when it's at it's best, it's because they decided to be more like Deep Space Nine, and less like the rest of Star Trek. Discovery isn't fit to hold Deep Space Nine's jockstrap, Deep Space Nine is orders of magnitude better than Discovery.
