Good News

Here's my first tip

Tactical shooting is not about aiming at the target through the sights

It's all about muscle memory

Weapons handling

Assuming the exact same perfected fire position, every single time

It don't have to aim, when I assume the muscle memory fire position ?

the front sight comes to the target reflexively

Somewhere in there, split second timing,my brain does a shoot/no shoot assessment

I don't even have to think consciously, hitting the medulla on time and on target is reflexive

Easy to get started, hard to master

Shooting is like dancing

Repetition, repetition, repetition, until it is second nature

Operator is just a state of mind

So again, Mission Command, Commander's Intent ; win the firefight

If you're not a master of arms, just a private fucking civilian ?

AR > Shotgun

Shotgun requires so much more repetition to master

AR is point and click, right out of the box

You don't need to go to Pineland to be one of America's Best

The place to find Cincinnatus is not at Fort Bragg

The place to look for him, is in the mirror

Because really, that's all they do at Fort Bragg

They hold the mirror up to you, and challenge you to live up to your own standards

Remember who you are

Remember where you come from

The story of your people

From Appomattox Court House to the Sea of Tranquility and beyond

Spacemerica Fuck Yeah

After this war is over, hopefully Smitty will get back into Spacemerica.

Really ? You wouldn't recommend a Musburg like pump action shotgun with buckshot and call it a day? For $350 I can get the gun and plenty of ammo for home defense.
Loves me some Mossberg, I am a member of the Shotgun Man Club, Shotgun Master

But it is more complex, you can't employ it to maximum effect, unless you are a master

The AR on the other hand, was made to be used by conscripts

It's very simple, easy to master, once you learn how to load make ready, then it's point and click

My wife can't use my shotgun, it's way too much gun for her, but she is no problemo with my AR
What about recoil pad , is that make any discernible difference? ARs cost how much more tho...cost benefit analysis and timing man. Better than nothing at the end of the day .
Make sure you wear a Tena pad when you fire the gun. Btw, Smitty doesn't know what he's talking about. If you are going to buy a shotgun, you need something reliable. Buy an Armsel Striker. The streetsweeper (Rhodesian craftsmanship) is arguably the best gun ever made. Its cheap, easy to use, easy to find, works great (no jams), and there are ample parts for it available.

That is a litmus test for any real gun expert. Ask them about the street sweeper. If they say it is a good gun, you know that you are in the right place. A lot of poseurs will try to raise doubts about it.

Smitty Magnum Higgins has no quarrel with the Striker

Nice piece of kit

But hard to find and expensive

For automatic shotgun, the Walmart Value Pick is the Remington 1100 series

Smitty Magnum Higgins has operated in the field with the Boer tho

There were two of them in my battlion when I first joined

One was Rhodesian Light Infantry, the other was real deal SADF Recce Commando

SADF Recce Commando may be the hardest SF selection of all time

They didn't do log PT, they had to carry a log around with them, everywhere

The rations they were issued ?

Dog biscuits soaked in gasoline
