Better Ways to Handle Future Chinese Pandemics

Post by heydaralon » Sun Mar 29, 2020 12:00 pm

China will never get its shit together.

What if in the future instead of shutting down society which is unconstitutional as fuck (and retarded) we tried other stuff?

For instance, taking into account the bailout, would it be cheaper just to put a ventilator in every Americans' house? With explicit instructions not to tie down the hospital with frivolous shit and just use it if you get really sick?

What if we started using the defense budget to set up field hospitals all over America and sent the sick there instead of bogging down hospitals that are already dealing with cancer and whatnot? Give every US soldier extensive first aid training on how to deal with this stuff.

What if we used this time between then and now to give every American household a MOP suit and crematorium for dealing with their dead?

It would be expensive, but in many ways better than what we are doing. My opinion is still that we should have just ignored this as a society. Life is dangerous, and apparently before Wuhan 81 year olds were just living forever. I have never even heard of an old person dying before 2020, better set up a police state because that will totally work.

Nah, far easier... New outbreak in China, launch a few hundred nukes and vaporize their cities.
Problem solved. The few cases that crop up from more rural locations and make it out will be far easier to track down and stop.

Nope. Nuclear weapons don't cause as many casualties as you think

Most people survive and so do viruses

So all you would end up with was hundreds of millions of Chinese refugees

Who were both radioactive and infected

Literally zombie invasion

Never mind that the heaviest bomb left in America's arsenal is the W87

It's only 500 kilotons

America doesn't even have City Killers anymore, all the warheads are de facto counterforce weapons now

The latest W76-2 is pure counterforce, SLBM MIRV at 5 kilotons

America's advantage is precision accuracy, so the bombs don't have to be big

We should have done this even before Covid though. MacArthur was wrong about most stuff but his China stance was 100% correct. Ike threatened them too, and they started to negotiate during Korea. This is a little known fact. Trump should do the same and ask them for a 2 trillion dollar payoff. They should foot this bill.

I wonder if in a year way more Americans will hate Asians or just Chinese.

+1

Chinese traditional societal habits lead to pandemics
https://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2 ... china.html
"It’s not a big mystery why this is happening… lots of concentrated population, with intimate contact with lots of species of animals that are potential reservoirs, and they don’t have great hygiene required. It’s a recipe for spitting out these kinds of viruses," Dr. Steven Novella recently opined on an episode of the Skeptics' Guide to the Universe.

I think most Americans are smart enough to hate the Chinese Communist Government and not US citizens who are Asian.

There's not going to be a wave of Yellow hate. Though any criticism of China will be called racist.

It is completely fair to criticize the Chinese culture for continuing to engage in practices that foster disease.
