Dan Carlin wrote:As I've said I haven't liked the last bunch of presidents. I think the current occupant in the office is worse than they were. I think you have to be able to take of your partisan blinders and admit that, otherwise we're not gonna get anywhere. You have to be able to judge the occupant in the White House from a neutral standpoint otherwise you are going to be a political hypocrite which is gonna get you to exactly where we are now. The tit-for-tat retribution cycle where my person can do no wrong and your person can do no right and even if they do I'm not going to admit it. Well, that's the recipe for Ceasar.
He thinks TDS is a "neutral standpoint" thus he is a political hypocrite, which gets Dan exactly where he is now.
The idea that every president is worse than the last is obvious nonsense used as cover to defend himself from accusations of bias. His assumption that it is possible to be unbiased and he is doing so with Trump, is why the TDS is so entrenched with him., because it causes him to write off anyone who doesn't share his opinion as biased, while he pretends to be above it.
Those who claim to be above partisanship are often the most partisan of all, who knew?
