Guilty as charged. Of course that isn't the only reason I'm not worried, but that totally plays into it, I'm sure.
You're 31 so you feel invincible
I'm 51 so I'm no I'm not
Mrs Smitty can't afford for me not to know my limitations
With said limitations, I have to go to DEFCON 1, because I have no margin for error
Indeed, there is good reason for our very different reactions, one size does not fit all. You might be overreacting and I might be underreacting, or vice versa, but it makes sense based on our differing situations.
Mrs Smitty is flipping out because her family is not taking this seriously
Her parents are pushing 80
I don't know if they are suicidal or just delusional or what

Oh well, no wonder she's flipping out then. It all makes sense now. If my parents were that old and not taking it seriously, I'd be flipping my shit too.

I'm not flipping out, but my mother is 75 and in the hot zone
She is not healthy, this bug would kill her with ease
I can't get her here, but even I could, I'd climb the walls if I was locked in with my batshit mom
So we might get a chance to say goodbye, we might not
It's a war, moms and dogs die

Good luck to your moms. I'm rooting for her, even if she is a bloody Communist.

People out in the sticks are sick and tired of Stockholmers fleeing the city to their summer homes potentially spreading the disease across the nation. Here is an attempt to deal with the menace.

Props to Sweden for being one of the least SIFCLF-Corona nations out there.

He should have stuck to his guns and made like the Swedes. Not that it would have saved him from that fate, just saying.

We all have to do combat in our own way...
For my wife fear comes naturally... she's all bunker down.
For me... I'm more afraid of being trapped than of dieing of some bug... I'm probably more like Capps.
So I naturally resist the order to bunker down.
This drives my wife batshit.
She is convinced I would risk the safety of my family for my own personal bugaboos.
This kind of thing could kill our trust in one another...
So that is the real enemy here.
Without each other our family blows up... and that's the real mine in this field right now.
For the time being I'm following orders... but for how long until my claustrophobia gets the best of me...
Or my 17 year old son... who is trapped in here with his parents on the verge of mental breakdowns...
My daughter will be fine... she likes bunkering down.
Deep down tho, I still thirst to kill you and eat you. Ultra Chimp can't help it.. - Smitty

Just tell her that when you go out, you're social distancing. If she gets mad at you taking a walk while staying away from people and not touching any common public surfaces, then there is no reasoning with her. If she needs proof you're not lying, tell her to come with you.
