I don't know if Canada is "doing well"

But the population is so dispersed here, unless you're in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver, it's not going to be a catastrophe
Pretty much the way I feel too.

And I'm kinda pissed. Now that it threatens the lefties packed in like livestock, it's a national emergency.
I love it tho, wartime conditions, I'm jacked for it

The only thing is the mission is actually to shelter in place, defensive routine

None the less, I've gone operational, Foreign Internal Defense, God bless America, God save the Queen

I kinda honestly am too Smits.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Do you two have any advice for those of us not so gung-ho? I go back and forth between being angry at the stupidity and panic around me, to being mad at China for having a terrible culture that bred this plague, and being concerned with my family's well-being as we see reports that younger people aren't really dealing with it any better than the elderly.

I've been watching crime numbers in our county. Crime is actually down in the last couple weeks.
I don't expect that to hold.

The typical crime we get is robbery, in particular vehicle robbery. Meth heads trying to get into vehicles to find a gun or something else to pawn so they can get a quick fix.

Kinda got a feeling as this go on, and I expect it to for 2 months min. People will start to lose their shit.

Avoid people like the plague.
Just had a guy saying that droplets inside supermarkets can hang around in the air for up to 3 hours waiting for you to inhale them.

Look at your family and property as if you were going to attack it, steal, etc.
- How would you get on your property, in your house, what would you go after ?
- Then figure out how to strengthen defense against that.

I'm an engineer. So I like defense in depth. Smitts is a Rifleman, he will have a different perspective.
- Defense in depth.
1. Obstacles - fences, thorny shrubs, trip hazards.
2. Early warning - dogs, cameras, sensors
3. Hardened targets - stiffen your main entrances, doors primarily. Figure out how to deal with windows.
4. Active Defense - Where none comatants go, where you plan to engage an enemy from.
5. QRF if possible - Mutual defense with neighbors. You or your neighbor gets a signal, they come to help.

That's a start.
