Ah, similar to damper bread Aussie style.
They mix it in a Dutch oven and then cook it in the embers of an open fire.
Proper bush bread they use baking soda or a can of beer to get the CO2 into the flour instead of yeast so there's no proving and the whole process takes little more than half an hour.
You've probably seen something similar in the field.
Hup, here she comes with cookies now, this was is gonna make me fat if this keeps up.

Sounds to me like she's fattening you up in case she has to eat you later.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Bloody right, every scrap of food that goes to waste just helps the enemy win the war.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:46 pmIt’s an excellent time to take up canning foods.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:42 pmDorothy Gale is going into full on homesteader mode, she needs constant activities.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:30 pm

My yard is not good for that because it's terraced, we're on a mini escarpment, up on a hillSuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:54 pm

Like I say, she's doing Victory Gardens in some of the terraces where the flowers were
There is however a farm right across the way, less than a kilometer, I bet he would sell me a patch

The clampdown is coming.
The leader of the Scottish Parliament has said if you're not providing vital products like food or medicine stay at home. The NI leader has said the same.
People in camper vans or those with second homes have been told not to bug out in the countryside for fear of overwhelming local services and bringing the virus out from the towns and cities.
Boris is in a COBRA security meeting and expected to talk to the nation at 20.30.
