Canceling events and limiting travel are sensible precautions considering the infection rates of this virus.
Not actually true, CBRN Operators know that you can't shut things down for very long, so you don't play that card unless you are at the peak of the pandemic, blowing their wad in this phase is not the correct action.
If this was Spanish Flu 1919 they would be making a huge mistake, because Spanish Flu didn't actually peak until October of 1919
Yes, but the point of these restrictions is to spread out the rate of infection so as to not overload our healthcare systems with one massive peak. Especially during the winter bed crisis many healthcare systems experience in the Northern hemisphere.
There are simply more beds available in the spring and summer.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

No, that's the media rubric for the Trump Derangement Shutdown
The media is ignoring all data which indicates that this is a massive overreaction.

Well, it all boils down to whether you believe the experts or not. Most of them are saying that containment and delay measures are necessary.

The ones the media chooses to put on tv say that
There are plenty of actual experts that they choose to ignore, who are saying that it is a media incited panic totally out of proportion to the actual effects of the virus

No one is inciting a recession just to blame Trump. That is Zero Hedge levels of paranoia.

Seems like the government is advocating for you all to get infected over there

The UK is not even imposing the same restrictions
Because BoJo is obviously getting his information from the Ministry of Defence experts
Who are telling him that there is no point in shutting down right now.
You have to keep that card in your pocket for if/when the pandemic actually peaks.
The hysterical media of course could override this, but the first reaction of MoD was the correct one
You can't stay shut down, you only have a window of weeks to do that
You don't blow that wad this early in the game, if it's the real deal, you have to target the effects at the peak

Can you imagine what happpened if millions of people got runny noses and felt fatigued? Imagine if at that happened every year. It would end globalism. Imagine if people also felt a slight headache.

Vampire Squids sell high, then the Millennials get thrown out of work in a media incited recession, to ensure that we do not get the Boomer Flu while we count our money.
Thank you for your service.

Dude stop laughing.
People are dying from this. Every day. You can't even begin to understand how serious this truly is. I get that this is the internet and you are trolling but have a little more respect for the victims. Picture yourself getting a cold. Now imagine that happpened in Italy. That is corona virus. Some of these people are so stuffed up they go through a box of tissues
per day. Get the picture?
