Does Bloomberg own any of the polling organisations? The rest of the media will try to milk him for as much as possible with fake encouragement. At least till super Tuesday.
Good luck. His plan seems to be to achieve a brokered convention where he can bribe the superdelegates to install him as the nominee. But I don't think the democrat electorate is going to vote for him in enough numbers to even get to a brokered convention. He's very rich, but still not rich enough to literally buy enough votes to win.

Bernie is going to win and Bloomberg is likely the best thing that ever happened to Bernie. There is a chance that Bernie can win the general election as well. The media only lies to you all. If your idea of what is going on out there comes from the television or the newspapers, then you are going to be shocked (again).
If everyone can stay in maybe, but honestly if Bernie can win 45% or more of the delegates and no one else is close, they don't have the balls to take it from him.

What do you think of the possibility that Bloomberg's strategy is actually to lose the primary and then run as an independent in the general election, and creating a base built from Never Trumpers and Never Bernies?

I think that's a great strategy to blow more of his fortune on.

He could have done just that for decades. He could've have done that now and just blew things up. He wants to win, he is not going to spend that kind of money just to be a spoiler. If he wants to be on the general election ballot in all 50 states he should've run as an independent and spend the money running against everybody then? As of now he is subject to sore loser laws. He won't be allowed on the ballot in some states. All that talent and infrastructure he has been building up, collapses many of these guys stake their reputations as being political hacks.

I guess I don't understand his gameplan. There is no way he is going to get enough votes to trigger a brokered convention, and he is starving the other candidates out of the race, making a brokered convention that much harder.

He is basically blocking for Bernie at this point, while pretending he's in to prevent him from winning. His strategy makes no sense, unless he's just wants an entertaining way to blow a lot of money, that to him is just a drop in the bucket, he seems to be doing it for shits and giggles, or he's got some delusional plan that will never pan out. He certainly doesnt have some super secret plan that is going to work brilliantly to stop either Bernie or Trump.

Given the number of shots that the other candidates took at him, because he’s rich... he may just be there as a straw man to rally support for the dems in general. That would be some deep game, actually...
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

I don't think he does prevent a brokered convention. I guess the thinking was he was going to fly to the rescue, carpet bombing money along the way either winning outright or going with a number of delegates from big blue states to take it to a convention. Right now, that thinking doesn't look too good. But he is pot committed.
