Ways to Remain UnPrepared for CoronaVirus

Post by heydaralon » Sun Feb 16, 2020 5:04 pm

Like most of you, I am not taking this whole virus mess very seriously. But things could become pretty serious. They won't however, because Coronavirus is NOT a big deal.

Here are some ways you can stay unprepared for the virus should it (not) hit:

1) Pour out all of your bottled water. A virus cannot be trasmitted by fluids. Use tap water or better yet save electricity by drinking out of public fountains.

2) Throw out or eat all of your canned food NOW. Most canned stuff has lots of sodium which can cause heart disease. Do not buy those sixty or twenty pound bags of dried rice either. You will get sick of rice after like 2 meals. Also we live in a modern country so you can always just go to the supermarket or a restaurant if you get hungry. If you already bought the rice, just dump it out in your trashcan. Again, we do not live in 1940's Poland. There is plenty of food at the supermarkets.

3) Start ubering for some extra money. I am actually doing both Uber and Lyft for some extra cash. I usually drive to the airport to pick up people from international flights and I always shake their hands when I pick them up or drop them off. I also keep a bottle of water in the car which I will happily share with them if they are thirsty.

4) Let foreign exchange students stay at your house. Many Asians are foreign exchange students. Right now would be an excellent time to let them stay in your house. While they are staying with you, go door to door and introduce them to your neighborhood. Let everyone get to know them.

5) Lick the palm of your hand before opening doors or touching any public surface. This one is a no-brainer. By doing this you can help immunize other people and build their body's defenses up. By touching your neighbor's doorbell, door knob or even shopping cart handles after you have coated your palms with saliva will help you bond with other people.

A lot of Chinese people in your community may be experiencing some uncalled for bigotry.
Now is the time to show solidarity by going to their restaurants and ordering bat soup.
Make sure to use the wooden chopsticks provided by the restaurant as the porous nature of the wood helps to impart the flavour from previous meals eaten with them.
To show your lack of bigotry make sure to kiss your waiter on the lips.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Good point. I heard the bat soup is even better when the meat is extra rare.

A good restaurant will serve it with fresh pangolin shavings.

I wonder if there is a way to mail bat meat to speaker. His birthday is today, and he'd probably enjoy a present. I know he likes exotic foods.

Good idea, it will add flavour to his boiled rice. I heard that he needs cheering up after he got that fortune cookie with the message ''die imperialist pig'' in it.

I think Speaker may be a hoarder. Having all that extra rice around is a mental compulsion that stems from an irrational fear of viruses. I wish he'd just throw all that rice away. He'd feel better.

I can't make him throw the rice away, but I'll tell you what I would do. If I was him roommate, I would wait till he left the house and then I would personally throw it out. He needs to understand that you cannot live that way. You cannot hoard food and expect for it to not have dire consequences for your mental wellbeing...

I wish there was a way for me to get through to him that Coronavirus isn't something to even think about, much less prepare for...

I bet it's rice grown in Asia anyway. I hear that he won't buy rice from North Carolina because he thinks it is grown by green-haired feminists with hepatitis.

Just in Asheville.
