The House can call anybody they want anytime they want. Why would they stop now?clubgop wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 3:32 pmUh what? The House is done they voted out the articles it is dead. They still have to go to court. The White House will say executive privilege, he most likely would lose have to testify and then he may show up refusing any questions based on priviledge in which case it is back to court.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 3:22 pmThe House will certainly call Bolton as a witness. The senate already voted not to call/allow new witnesses. It's a moot point now.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 3:22 pmThe House will certainly call Bolton as a witness. They have no reason to stop this charade; Monte isn’t alone in his hatred.

To what end? They have to have a reason, a pretext, he is a private citizen. What oversite role would they claim?Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:18 pmThe House can call anybody they want anytime they want. To what end? Well, of course, to make Trump the first president to be impeached by the House *twice*. Nothing says "witch hunt" like trying to go after someone again who you couldn't find any real credible evidence against the first time.clubgop wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 12:09 amTo what end? I wouldn't stop them. It's only helped Trump so far, if they want to double down it doesn't seem likely to really help themselves.

Double Jeopardy? Wouldn't they have to come up with some new charge or doesn't that rule apply to impeachment.

Another inquiry which is a tough vote some don't want to take again. Followed by another partisan impeachment on thin charges. We all know what the Democrats know. The thought of John Bolton testimony is worth far more than the actual John Bolton testimony. If they want a second bite at this Ukraine apple the Bidens would have to be thrown over the bus and by that point Democrats lost the argument.Ph64 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 2:42 amTo what end? It’s the House. The Bidens will never testify. No one but Anti-Trumpers will be heard.

And the Senate will never allow more to be heard on their side either. This entire thing has become a sham.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 11:08 amIt’s the House. The Bidens will never testify. No one but Anti-Trumpers will be heard.

That's an interesting open question. One that would have to get dragged into court. I don't think anyone wants that right now.
This stunt by Pocahontas got the 51 votes for no witnesses. Not GOP. This.

Yeah so? We have seen this song and dance already. The Biden will be brought up again. They are going to have to find something else. Ukraine is dead.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 11:08 amIt’s the House. The Bidens will never testify. No one but Anti-Trumpers will be heard.
