That is just up the road from here at Potters holiday camp where they host the World Championships every year.
I've always fancied having a go at bowls. Most bowls clubs are a bit stuck up though, worse than golf even.

Is the floor sloped toward the goal? That’s a weird jiggle at the end.

The balls are weighted.
The amount they turn is dependant on the speed they are moving.
There is a form of the game known as Crown Bowls where the green is raised to a ridge along the middle. This version is played mostly in the Midlands and northern England.

A one-sided 42-0 win from Wales against Italy.
Going by last year's World Cup form Wales is going to be England's main competition for the Championship. Wales's semi-final defeat to the Springbox was narrower than England's defeat in the final.
Scotland, Ireland and France all failed to turn up for the World Cup and I think that Ireland is the only real danger to England apart from Wales.
How Ireland performs against an improving Scottish side this afternoon will give us some idea of how much of an obstacle to England and Wales they are going to be.

Disappointing first game for England losing in Paris 24-17.
France scored all their points in the first half and England got all theirs in the second. Lots of missed opportunities in the first half against a strong French defense getting to within a yard of the try line on 3 occasions but turning over the ball and conceding penalties to deny the score.
England have to win everything from now and hope Wales or Ireland beat France.

Anyone else hyped for the Fury - Wilder rematch tonight?
The last fight was a classic 12 round slugfest with Fury outboxing Wilder ending in a controversial draw decision.
