Damn
Tough loss, but no shame in losing to Mister Ivan.

They can win any tournament anytime they decide to put the work in, this Russian team is a sleeper.

Swedish coaches voted Rasmus Sandin as their best player.

He continues to fulfill my projection of his ceiling being elite #1D

Thing about Sandin is that he has the hockey IQ and aggression of an elite player, he just needs to fill out

His weaknesses are strength and skating : the Leafs are now the best team in the league for developing that.

I look at what they did with Dermott, who is now fast and ripped, but doesn't have the skill of Sandin

Dermott used to be pudgy and a choppy skater, now he is shredded and skates like the wind.

If they do with Sandin as they have with Dermott conditioning wise, his ceiling is unlimited

Amen to that. You got some good Swedes right now.

Pierre Engvall, 7th round pick 188th overall

I remember when they drafted him in 2014, just wrote him off as 7th rounder

And yet the Leafs have completely remade themselves into the premiere internal development team

They just let the cake bake in Sweden, knowing that he had a big frame and so might turn into a grinder

Yet now here he is, playing on the third line and actually scoring important goals

Now even more of a boon, since he's filling in for Mikhehev

Bugger, was watching Atomic Blonde and missed it.
